A local fundraising event supporting the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter was a hit with dancers of the Lakeland Line Dancers.
Having limited opportunities to get together over the last couple of years, over 70 line dancers made the most of the fundraising event to step out to a fun day of great music and fundraising for a life-saving charity.
Knowing first-hand people who have used the rescue helicopter service, one of the event organisers, Kym said, “it's a vital service in our region, I chose the rescue helicopter to support, as I know people who have needed the service, including two of my dancers, as well as a few mountain-bikers l know.”
“People here feel passionately about keeping the rescue helicopter in the air. As soon as the dance committee mentioned the event was raising funds for the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter the support and offers of help with time, products and services was amazing.” says Kym.
“We went with the green and black theme to match the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter colours.” Kym said.
Lakeland Line Dancers raised $800 for the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter - a fantastic result for a great cause.
