On Saturday afternoon, July 1, the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to Waiheke Island to aid a man in his 70s who was suffering from a serious cardiac condition. The patient was stabilised and transported to Auckland City Hospital, where he could receive the specialised care he required.
