Since 1995, community-minded people like you have been helping save lives through the Waikato District Veteran Golfers Association.
For nearly three decades, an incredible group of dedicated individuals have made an impact on your rescue helicopter. The Association is a steadfast supporter of your Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter – raising more than $100,000 to help us save lives.
This is outstanding. We can hardly express how grateful we are for this extraordinary support.
At the heart of the Associations’ fundraising lies the iconic event: the Festival of Golf Charity Tournament. This annual tournament gathers together local golf clubs for a four-day extravaganza, held this year from 22nd – 26th January.
As always, there was a lot of fun, camaraderie, and some fierce competition – all to raise money for a cause that touches lives in the region.
If you are one of the organisers, a keen golfer who played – or if you took part in any way – thank you so, so much.
Your dedication and enthusiasm is inspiring.
The Tournament this year took place at esteemed golf clubs, including the Te Awamutu, Waikare and Cambridge Golf Club. And for the finale, participants and supporters gathered together at the beautiful Ngāruawāhia Golf Club.
Everyone had a huge amount of fun, and together, you raised a whopping $9,500. This generous support will go directly to your Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter, and help us continue to save lives in your community.
