Last December marked the 30th anniversary of the Lions Club of Woodville’s iconic Coast to Coast motorcycle ride, sponsored by Suzuki, raising much-needed funds for the Grassroots Trust Rescue Helicopter.
Riders began their 200km journey from Himatangi Beach on the West Coast and travelled across the Manawatu plains to Woodville, where they stopped for refreshments and lunch at Fountaine Square, before continuing to Akitio on the East Coast.
Over the ride’s 30-year history, more than $300,000 has been raised by the Lions Club of Woodville, to help the Grassroots Trust Rescue Helicopter to continue to save hundreds of lives.
