Please help your rescue crew save more lives

Accident or emergency situations can happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime. It’s what happens next that matters.

Every minute counts. The sooner treatment begins, the greater the chance of patient recovery. When the Grassroots Trust Rescue Helicopter is tasked to a life-saving emergency rescue mission via the emergency 111 call system, it is the best, and in many cases, the only option.

Founded in 1991, the Grassroots Trust Rescue Helicopter is a free emergency rescue service for the Manawatu and Whanganui regions, bringing life-saving equipment, rescue personnel and trauma-trained Critical Care Flight Paramedics directly to the patient.

We cannot do what we do without the support of our community. We rely on the kindness of people like you to save lives every day.

Help us gear up

When every second counts, your rescue helicopter and highly skilled crew are there to save lives. But we need your help to keep flying and equipped with the latest life-saving equipment.

Each time you give, you help deliver a flying Intensive Care Unit straight to the side of a patient in critical need.

Your rescue helicopter is a vital lifeline for those in need, but it requires essential equipment to operate at its best. Your donation, means we are rescue ready and ensures your highly skilled rescue crew have the tools they need to save lives this summer.

Every dollar counts in critical moments... Help us gear up and together, we can make a life-saving impact!
